Mosquitoes are one of the more well known pests. They are well known for the trouble they play in the transmission of malaria in warmer climates. Although diseases like malaria aren't commonly transferred through mosquitoes in the UK, they can bring other issues, such as: infected bites, dissatisfied customers, or a spoilt summers day! The UK has 36 native mosquito species and most do not transmit diseases, however, some Culex mosquitoes are capable of transmitting West Nile virus.
